Mission Statement

We believe all students deserve to learn in a safe and respectful environment. We believe all students deserve to be recognized as differentiated learners who need to be stimulated and challenged. We believe all students deserve to receive rigorous instruction that is standards based. We believe all students deserve to explore the way their education and culture connect to the world around them.

Closer Look

Wendell Phillips Elementary School #63 is a Full Purpose Partnership school where we focus on every child's strengths and where parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s education. Our kindergarten through sixth grade students learn, feel valued, and share in the daily responsibilities of school life. Our faculty and staff work purposefully to create an environment where children are encouraged to take appropriate risks, extend their reach beyond where they think they can go, and experience the many aspects of success that becoming an independent learner offers. We create an environment of educational excellence. All students are helped to meet their optimum learning potential through the implementation of high quality instruction that meets or exceeds district and state standards. We believe that academic achievement results when we are able to create a learning community where all of its members value and regularly demonstrate the four core values of excellence, respect, scholarship, and courage.
